Balloons taking part in the Irish Hot Air Balloon Championships provided a spectacular display on Friday evening. 

Balloons fly from the Town Park, Tullamore

The weather looks promising for Friday evening. The intention is to fly from the Town Park from 6pm. 

A balloon team lead by UK based pilot Ian Wadey visited Gaelscoil an Eiscir Risda on Wednesday. 

A Northern Ireland based balloon team lead by Tom Gourley visited and made a presentation much to the delight to teachers and pupils. 

In a challenging week the 51st Irish Hot Balloon Championships made the most of a rare gap in the weather.

Much to the delight of pupils and teachers at Scoul Bhrid, Tullamore a Hot Air Balloon team lead by Irish Pilot Carol Davis visited Scoil Bhrid in Tullamore on Monday.
